Maths Open Evening at Tockwith School.

On Thursday 12th June at Tockwith school there was a maths open evening. The headmaster Mr. Reeve asked us to do a display on what we do in the 1st Marston Moor scout group, including all our sections; beaver scouts, cub scouts and scouts. I was one of the two people running the display with Owen. On the display there were lots of scouting equipment such as a survival bag, a day pack, a rucksack, sleeping bag and a tent in its bag. Plus we had some books on scouting, sailing, knot tying and other things we do in scouts.
Owen and Guy (two of our scouts) put together a slideshow presentation for the beavers, cubs and scouts Annual General Meeting. This was showing activities we have been doing over the year, such as a camp at Bramhope in which cubs did things like climbing, gladiator training, archery and an obstacle course. Lots of people enjoyed looking at this especially people who are in beavers, cubs or scouts. As well as the slideshow presentation there were lots of pictures of camps and weekly sessions. We hope the display looked as exciting as we find scouting.
